Depth & breadth

I read this today, and it hit me deep and hard..

“Tozer concerned himself with the depth of his ministry and left the breadth of his ministry up to the Holy Spirit.”

Excerpt from The Spiritual Journey of A.W Tozer.

what lah u! no need brain juices.. just a patient and eager heart, a listening ear, and a dedicated attitude… I told my friends that the goal is not to finish reading the book, but to absorb what God has gotta say through him. Why the sudden interest to read this book? This is sooo un-like you!

I have another friend who took half a year to finish it. That is better than a friend who took half a day! Speed shouldn’t be an inclusive factor here. You come back, I give you a copy. I heard you can’t come back that soon. if you cannot fly back, you take cab back lah..

i suppose the book should be at your standard then.. no thank you.. im reading this book called Drawing Near by John Bevere..He quoted quite many of A.W.Tozer.. to me, it’s as good as Purpose Driven Life..

John Bevere, another good author lah. But don’t read Joel Osteen books! I pantang that guy kao kao. Teaches idolatry indirectly one. He always teach people to enthrone the “God of I”.. very bad!

reading a book is to enjoy the moment and the messages the author trying to convey.. but not to be so stressed up with the dictionary la!! like that how to read before bed??!!!

huhh?? Joel Osteen encouraged idolatry?? thought he’s quite famous.. heard of his name before.. to me, i pantang Joseph Prince.. not because there is something wrong with his teaching.. it’s just that personally to me, i would take advantage of His grace.. especially so when he keep emphasize that Jesus died on the cross for our past sins, present sins and future sins.. which i knew the truth is exactly that.. it’s just my personal problem though..

  17. Meng Foong Ong 吴明凤 says:

Joel Osteen encouraged ppl to look at themselves. As a preacher/pastor/representative of God, he should be encouraging ppl to look to God. Many times, his sermons are all about “me, me, me”…. that’s the part I dont’ like at all. And many people don’t mind, cuz it makes them feel good. But the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t suppose to be a feel-good gospel…
